Is Edey good or just big?

He gets some calls but if you watch Purdue consistently he really lets alot of people get to the basket, especially early in the game, to stay out of foul trouble. When your entire offense is based on having him in the middle, you don't take unnecessary risks. Late in the game if he is not in...

What does the N in Nebraska stand for ????……….

Nebraska has not really done much of anything since joining the Big Ten outside of volleyball and maybe a couple of other sports that even fewer people follow.

Purdue and the refs. Watch these clils

This. Haven't lost a regular season non-conference game since 2020. 41 wins a row. The postseason problems have nothing to do with officiating. Edey had 21 points and 15 rebounds against Fairleigh Dickinson. He shot 10 free throws an ended up with only 1 foul. The FDU loss had to do with...

OT: Great observation. Am I alone ?

See it all the time but today when it happened while the play was still going was unique.

    All Big 10 Teams

Future may be bright for these players, but I'd bet anything at least a couple of these guys will be in different places for their bright future.

    All Big 10 Teams

I'm not against Hoiberg getting it this season, but Purdue has won the league by 3 games this year and last year (something that hasn't been done since late 70's Indiana) and we gave the award last year to Chris Collins for barely finishing over .500 and getting into the NCAA tournament. If...

2024 In Season Tourney - $2 mil NIL

I think an interesting case could be made regarding public universities funding/subsidizing minor league sports....which is what this becomes once you start paying the players a salary. Also, how long before we see someone sue for unlimited eligibility or we stop requiring enrollment to play...

Before anyone EVER kills Steve on OOC again …consider this

I figured Rutgers might take on some more high-profile games with the recruiting class they have coming in next year. Usually teams like to showcase things like that.

    Congrats Purdue

Hoiberg makes sense this season. I have a huge problem with Painter not getting it last year though.

    Congrats Purdue

Purdue lost last season because they were playing freshmen guards and were somewhere in the 270's in the country shooting 3's. Zach Edey (who had 21 points and 15 rebounds in that game) and how he was officiated had nothing to do with it.

Cameron Spencer's parents with thinly veiled shots at the RU coaching staff and the Big Ten

It's not as if UCONN is just any random program in the country either. Defending national champion and a top team in the country this season. Their success doesn't validate the entire Big East over the entire Big Ten. Rutgers beat Seton Hall. Purdue beat Marquette. IIRC I think even...

    Congrats Purdue

This is true of anyone in the country. No #1, #2, or #3 seeds made the Final Four last year. There is no lock for the Final Four.

    OT: The Hoosier Gym

Dozens of high school teams play there every year. Many from out of state. It's a cool visit if you're a basketball fan and in the area. It really is a good representation of what high school basketball was in Indiana 50 years ago. There was a gym like that in most every small town in the state.
