    Good information, being old school, the word analytics concerns me. That being said, I'm hoping their other coaching strengths put us in a good position to be successful once again. Can't wait for new season.

    Being one dimensional I blame alot on analytics being overrated. Analytics can be helpful but sometimes the players ability overrides those numbers. This could even change game to game. Maybe swing not the same on given day, weather etc. I hope this staff let's the players abilities take...

    You could be correct in your assumption. I don't have any knowledge of anything that makes him so far better than other coaches in consideration, of which we have no idea. I'm really hoping for the best because baseball is special to me.

    Considering how last season ended, the bar is set pretty low. So definitely improvement better be shown.

    I hope we can. My concern is how long it takes for new hire. Replacing basically a whole team possibly, getting staff etc. Need to get done.

    Your last sentence was ML pledge to program if hired. I hope he gets this chance. It will be his baby from the start. If it fails, I believe as a good man, he will move over. He wanted this job prior to taking Clemson job, it wasn't there for him due to holding onto Holbrook for so long...

    As close as Ray and ML are, I would bet my house they've had discussions since Holbrook years for this position. Just a hunch.....

    Not sure we will know the answer on hitting coach etc. For what it's worth here is why he will be retained, IMO. We are most likely looking at dismissing a basketball and/or football coach in the near future. Need money to fix that, revenue producing sports get priority. I am a baseball...
