    Yes, he's the first black head football coach. We've always hired family, a current staff member, or a deep rooted Edgecombe local. BW Holt and Varnell were the only outsiders. We've had plenty of black head coaches in men's basketball though. Hmmm lol.

    Probably a first time head coach again. We should be able to get any experienced coach we want. But ECPS doesn't believe in spending money. We'll always be a stepping stone area, for coaches and teachers.

    Just lost a top receiver today. Transfered to South Central. Along with his sister, who led the state in steals per game on the hardwood. I imagine this is the first domino. Hard to be committed to a team with no coach.
