Not sure why you want Bensalem. If you have school-age children, you want the Yardley/Lower Makefield area (Pennsbury) or Newtown (Council Rock) areas. both are close to I-95/295 and the Delaware River
If you are willing to consider a little travel down Route 1, you should look at places in PA. PA exempts retirement income from state taxes. Also, if they still drive, auto registration and insurance is lower in PA than NJ.
