Maybe pump the brakes on that "culture" talk...

The quote in the CJ wasn’t attributed to Conley, it was attributed to Conley’s HS Coach Brett Sloan. Conley probably confided this to Sloan, and Sloan decided to share it with the reporter... probably meant to illustrate Conley’s work ethic and his excitement to be at Louisville. If accurate...

Matt Canada meeting with Tyra today

OC at 6 schools over the last 8 years. Bobby Petrino got criticized for being hard to work for. What do we say about a guy who can’t work for anybody longer than two years ? Journeyman OC ?

    McCormack

Very talented. I’m excited to see how good he can be with legitimate D1 coaching.

    Mike Leach

Both would be GREAT !! Holgorsen was an assistant for Mike Leach at Texas Tech. Both are paid apx 3.5 mil

    Season Ticket Holders Question

Good post. We definitely need a HC with the bearing and coaching credentials to get the players’ attention. The culture needs to change immediately. Additionally that HC needs to have the charisma to energize the fan base. Examples: Matt Campbell, PJ Fleck, Mike Leach, Matt Wells

    Season Ticket Holders Question

Andrea Adelson (ESPN/ACC) told WKRD that UNC passed on Satterfield because they needed a coach that “moved the needle”. So, they took a 67 year old former HC. (Not good enough for UNC, but good enough for Louisville ??) Tyra said that after Brohm decided to stay at Purdue, he was contacted...

    Tyra Doing His Homework

The more I look at Mike Leach’s resume’ the more impressed I am. You look at his former assistants, who are now HC: Lincoln Riley OU, Dana Holgorsen WVU, Seth Littrell N. Texas, Sonny Dykes SMU...pretty good list. (Kliff Kingsbury, Neal Brown, Lincoln Riley, and Josh Huepel played for Leach...

    Tyra Doing His Homework

If you are looking at Head Coaches, Mike Leach checks at least two of those criteria, immediately. He has done a lot more with a lot less at Texas Tech and Washington State, going from obscurity to the Top 10 at both schools. He is an offensive savant. In addition to his resume’, he has the...

Why didn’t North Carolina hire Satterfield, who is in their own backyard ?

Why people are so hurt over this..and will be for a while

One thing, that has been overlooked in this situation, is the Brohm family’s relationship with Petrinos. It may have played into his decision as well.

Post Brohm - No Neal Brown

Neal Brown is a great football coach. I don’t care what he said when he was an assistant at Kentucky. I’m pretty sure his diploma is from the University of Massachusetts. My concern with Brown, is his ability to change a toxic culture. I believe we need a coach with the personal bearing that...
