    That was so painful.

    Private Schools 7 - Public Schools 1. That’s a wrap!

There are legitimate points to be made when discussing public versus private schools and recruiting. This statement, however, is not fair or accurate.

    St Laurence 14 - DePaul Prep 26 F

It was a close game and near the end there were four or five penalties in a row that all went against St. Laurence. Some of the fans were pretty upset and yelling. I’m not saying they were bad calls or anything; I have no idea. But when you get a bunch in a row against your own team when things...

    Prep Bowl Playoffs

I’m surprised that I have not seen any updates around here… So it looks like the Catholic final will be Ignatius and Notre Dame. Ignatius beat Caramel in a close one. And looks like the public final will be Whitney Young and Kenwood. Looks like Whitney Young beat Amundsen in double overtime….

    Prep Bowl Playoffs

I second this question. Anybody know why Saint Pats is not taking advantage of this opportunity?

    CPS Eliminating School Choice

DePaul, Loyola, and Iggys are near capacity - if anything they would just get even smarter kids and turn more kids away. But largely this CPS stupidity would not help them ND should be able to add 250 - they have about 800. Pars and Res could almost triple in size. And schools like Bro...

What's the deal with Chicago Hope Academy?

They played at DePaul Prep either last year or the year before. The Rams scored a few touchdowns on them, and the game wasn’t the blowout I expected it to be - it was a precursor of DePaul’s rise up to becoming competitive again (as in average and no longer just an easy win).

What Catholic Schools are in the Prep Bowl Playoffs?

What’s the story with Joliet Catholic back in 1979? I always understood the Prep Bowl to be a CPS/Chicago Catholic League thing (or with one of its merged Catholic leagues). But JC was not in the CCL then, were they? And if not, how did they get in the Prep Bowl playoffs?

Interested to see this weekend if….

Weird things can keep attendance down. DePaul Prep sent out an email with the following information: Due to the St. Patrick's Day Celebrations in the City, we are having trouble securing fan buses for the game. There is no guarantee we will have fan buses.

    CCL Shuffle

It’s just weird. I mean it’s not like they didn’t play IC in their old league. I guess the CCL/ESCC could solve problems like this by not having the red division play the top two divisions. And ACC would fit in nicely with Leo and DePaul. Regardless, I understand where they’re coming from...

New Conference - Chicago Prairie League

It is interesting that Walther chose this conference versus the other new conference with a lot of the private schools. Anybody know why? Both are bad for distance, but this one off the top of my head may seem worse. And where does this leave Riverside Brookfield?

    CCL Shuffle

It’s really too bad that they did not keep Marian Central Catholic, pick up St Ed’s and Christ the King- and just re-add Bishop McNamara. Saint Edward and Christ the King would’ve slide it in nicely with Leo and DePaul, And maybe ACC for a bottom division of five,

    CCL Shuffle

There are 22 schools playing football currently. Three (IC, ACC, & St. Francis) are joining for a total of 25. So will one division have five teams am I missing something obvious?
