    World Cup

Really just a comedy of individual errors that cost the US this one. It's a difficult game to come from behind in, so gifting an opponent multiple goals is usually a death sentence.

    World Cup

Why are we still calling Morocco underdogs? They reached the semis of the last world cup, which included knockout wins over both Spain and Portugal. They've also won a U-20 world cup and an Olympic bronze medal since then, indicating young talent and high level player development. Perhaps...

    Knockout round

Apparently a sensor in the ball indicated a slight touch but idk... the trajectory and rotation of the ball don't appear to change going past the player's head. Brutal way for Croatia to lose.

What was questionable about the overturned goals? They were close, sure, but also correct.

Most believe raising the revenue-share cap is a must, but agreement on a figure remains difficult

I actually think it would be a very natural next step to multi-year revenue sharing contracts. Players are still going to want to transfer while they're under contract and teams are going to want to poach players who are under contract with another team, and the legal way for that to happen is...

Most believe raising the revenue-share cap is a must, but agreement on a figure remains difficult

IMO, the entire model needs to change. The first "solution" was to add a salary cap because that's what pro sports leagues here do. The problem is that college sports are structured much differently than pro sports - the schools are all individual entities rather than franchises of one league...

    Seton Hall TBT

That's too bad, I'd have enjoyed a chance to see them humble the Knicks again lol

    Seton Hall TBT

Does commitments for more than 1 year mean we could be seeing alumni team events outside of TBT?

Ask the guys to help with a season ticket sales event ahead of the game while they're in town. Invite people who were STHs, frequent SGBs, maybe even students when they played to the event as current prospective buyers. Have a happy hour style event with drinks and light food, throw up a quick...

    Sha should call Few

The base for announced attendance is usually tickets out : sold + comps. And I'm not definitively saying SHU does this, but it's frequently further inflated beyond that. I'm just saying that announced attendance number leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

    Sha should call Few

Well that's inflated by the Rutgers game, which isn't in question. The other 3 have public attendance numbers (which are universally inflated across the industry) averaging 6,200, but that's not really my point. Comparing that attendance to the other 11 games establishes it as somewhat of a...

    Sha should call Few

Of course. I'd expect our guarantee for said hypothetical game to cover those at minimum. If not, you don't take it. Even if that's all it would do, it beats playing a half empty home game at a loss.

    Sha should call Few

It's all about the money at this point anyway. We don't need an even split as long as we're happy with the rate they're buying the extra home game at. That goes for any opponent. Teams that schedule with the idea that they'll only go on the road, or at least agree to an even split, with...

    MAAC new brand identity Thursday

Yes I know, but the old Metro (Metropolitan Collegiate Athletic Conference) has been gone for over 30 years. I'm not saying the Metro Atlantic should have taken the "Metro" branding immediately as that would have been confusing and almost certainly would have had some legal hoops to jump...

    MAAC new brand identity Thursday

Metro Conference. Simple, clean, should have been done years ago.
