It’s an urban legend that you can just apply and collect unemployment easily. They audit the crap out of new applications and verify all claims with prior employers and deny any claims that aren’t 100% verified. I

Lived in Hong Kong for 3 years back in 2001-04 and during the SARS recovery period the government put on a big outdoor concert - saw Prince play for 3 hours alongside the harbor for free - amazing show and it was free.
