Sycamore dominated the game and Boylan won. You do realize both can be true right?
Sterling was beaten by a better team.
It took Sycamore to choke for Boylan to win. You’re making my point for me.
Sterling fan so no dog in the fight.
Meant it more as a nod to how impressed I was with Rita than slight to Boylan. Take it however you want.
Weird ankle biting comment. Not really sure what that even means.
Boylan was dominated yesterday. No objective football person would say otherwise...
It was maybe the worst field condition I have seen. Players could barely move in the center of the field. IMO Sycamore was much better and dominated most of the game. Credit to Boylan for finding a way with 2 80 yard fumble returns.
Is there any rule preventing schools from moving a game due...
This just isn’t true. Geneseo hasn’t been the measuring stick for years. Sterling played Rocky and Moline for the first time in a long time. Both are much larger and have the same or better athletes. Both made the playoffs in larger classes. SHS plays in the best conference available to them...
another level for sure. Almost like a 7a level...
Very impressed with Brown. Kid is a stud and makes it look effortless. SR Defense flies around. Good luck to SR the rest of the way.
The Sterling staff has taken a good program to new levels. Hope they keep climbing. To win a state...
You are kind of making my point for me. If a kid who values the athletics at Montini wants to go there he is allowed given he lives within 30 miles. As you said Montini sits in a great area to have a large population to chose from and has the ability to reach out to.
Sterling doesn’t have that...
Not much of a conversation to have if you are really going to say that there isn’t certain advantages that those schools have over a school like Sterling.
I don’t blame any private school for playing by the rules that are in place but to pretend like Sterling and Montini are drawing from the...
Other than this not being true you really got me. Paid for by advertisers. Any school could do it.
You will never hear me say Sterling High School isn’t extremely fortunate to have all of the things they do.
What exactly does the video board do for Sterling? What advantage does that give them?
I like JCA in this one.
I saw Montini last week and was underwhelmed by their defensive line and LBS. JCA looks like Sycamore but better athletes running behind a better line.
Montini is really impressive at DB. I think how they incorporate those guys into their run defense will be a big factor.
Sterling had injuries and Turnovers. Two things they could not have if they wanted to contend with Montini. I don't want those to come off as excuses but they are reasons why the game ended up like it did.
The staff and players at Sterling are building and they will break through at some...
I am looking forward to a good game in Sterling Saturday. Montini will be the best team Sterling has seen for sure but not by a ton. I don't think anyone involved with Sterling will be intimidated with what Montini brings to the table. In the past that may have been different.
I have seen...
World beaters and something Sterling (or any non private school) hasn't seen all year before the game but "not particularly strong" after they get beat. Pretty standard. Hoping Sterling takes care of Boylan so we can go through that whole cycle again.
