Well unfortunately Asheville just got younger. Sophomore RB1 is out for the year with a broken foot and a freshman moves to start in his place. I hate it for the kid but with surgery he should recover and have two more years.
I really didn't know much about Asheville School until watching some film and " Ruh Roh Shaggy ". They are BIG upfront and those running backs are a LOAD. I don't think the Cougars can just line up and impose their will. They are going to have to scheme both offense and defense. We'll see.
Maybe it's the ebb and flow of the Jimmys and Joes. I know this current Cougar squad is no where near as experienced and talented as the '02 team that was equal to Mallard Creek in the playoffs
That was a surprise. The Asheville QB can spin it and the transfer was going to a focal point of the offense. Oh well If anybody knows of any DL or LB please tell them to come on cause our D needs help. Of course starting four Freshman with one 13 year old middle linebacker is tough
IiRC, that was Councell's junior year. As good as he was the heart and soul of that defense was Patrick Blaylock who ended up walking on at App St before earning a scholarship,
Standard visitor parking is a hike along sidewalk and then uphill along drive to stadium entrance. Once inside there are ramps for easy access to bleachers. I still know some guys over there so I will see about better parking
