    I can't get over 2 things. One, jNW taking it to Ped State. Two, opening night of a beautiful 35,000 seat stadium and the place has tons of empty seats. Jeez Northwestern, sell the team!

    Anytime you have a kickoff return for a TD the stats are going to be skewed because you are giving the ball right back to the other offense so they have back to back possessions. Add 99 yards to the total offense totals and the numbers tighten up quite a bit. I wonder what the stats are for...

    Michigan jumps us in Coaches Poll. #20 in Coaches and #18 in AP. This game does little for us. Win and it's meh, lose and we're dropped out of the polls.

    SMU at Florida State: No scoreboard; no public game clock; some lights out; no coach-to-player communication; no iPads on sideline; no PA

    That first half was so pleasant to watch without all the electronics. No sound system blaring crap, no interruptions for replay every 2 minutes. The game had great flow. It felt like the 90s. We should go back to playing games like that.

    Indiana v Oregon

    Stop. Iowa averaged 29 ppg this season. Stop with the "no offense" thing. Watching these playoffs it is clear that running the ball, playing defense, and just playing straight bully ball wins. That's right in Iowa's wheel house. Need to add a few playmakers is all.
