    Men's Basketball Announces 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

I think this is a great schedule. Context is important. We have one returning player and will be predicted to finish 9th-10th in most preseason rankings.

What do you think as regards SHU?

I was talking about Seton Hall - more specifically the offense. Maybe too harsh, but I was speaking to my earlier point that we don't play an exciting brand of basketball due to the struggles on offense. However you choose to label it, the end result hasn't been good. 3-22 record vs the top...

What do you think as regards SHU?

a I agree they don't know the 3-22 record vs teams with a pulse, but even someone with elementary basketball knowledge knows watching a team struggle to score isn't fun. The kids know the team stinks and just going to one game leaves you with a feeling of "that was painful to watch."

What do you think as regards SHU?

That's definitely an issue. All schools to a certain degree are operating on the one-and-done mercenary model, but no program in the country has been hit harder by this era than Seton Hall. Whether it's a Sha issue or an institutional issue is TBD, but it's an issue. Big East basketball is in...

What do you think as regards SHU?

The question isn't would you prefer to pay or have free tickets. The question is, does the price of tickets prevent you from going to the game? A big part of the problem is that we don't play an exciting brand of basketball. It's not appealing to a casual fan. Humor me for a moment...think...

What do you think as regards SHU?

What's our average student section attendance for 16 games? 500 students? At $10 a ticket that's $80K, even at 1,000 students per game that's only $160K. Don't get me wrong, that's a lot of money but when you're paying practice players $200K and $300K is $80K making a difference? If it is, we...

    Javion Tyndale

Others have already answered this, but Gary Parrish from CBS discussed this last month on his podcast. He compared similarly ranked HS recruits from the class of 2027 to pre-portal era classes (i.e. class of 2017). Across the board, the demand for HS recruits is down. In his examples, he looked...

What do you think as regards SHU?

I see both sides. On one hand it can seem a little tone deaf to pay the players $10M but charge students $10 to come to the game. They are paying the 13th man, who will never see the light of day, more than the annual revenue from student ticket sales. On the other hand, every little bit helps...

    Copeland vs Hines

Hines is elite level talent. I think he has potential to be one of the best players in the country by his 5th year.

    Corey Lowery to Texas Southern

Not an expert but seems he was under utilized here. The only thing I can think to explain it was Sha was trying to keep his value down in hopes to retain him for another year.

    Corey Lowery to Texas Southern

A little late, but for those questioning Corey’s value to the staff - he brought Najai Hines here. He’s arguably our biggest recruit in 10+ years.

Fourth team for 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship

There must not be an NIL component / financially doesn’t make sense to attend. If you google this topic this isn’t unique to Baha Mar. teams a paying exit fees to get out of these tournaments all over. The name of the game is to make as much money as possible and you can do that with home games...

    Here's your TBT roster

The irony of a grown man posting this on an internet message board for strangers to talk about 20-year-old mercenaries playing basketball.

    6 year extension?

It's really inconsequential in my opinion. I think leadership has accepted reality that making the NCAA tournament is no longer a realistic job requirement and the optics of firing Sha would be horrific. I cannot envision a scenario where Sha would be on the hot seat at Seton Hall. We would be...

    Rothstein: Big East Offseason Breakdown

We are all Seton Hall fanatics so we give the program the benefit of the doubt and view the roster from a glass half full perspective, but objectively speaking this is not a very impressive roster. If this team were compiled at any other school we would be predicting them to finish last or close...
