The MAC is adding….wait for it….

I mean in fairness Sacramento is closer to Middle America than Stanford or Cal are to the Atlantic Coast. ***

    Starkville Characters

Trevaz Monroe was his actual name. I knew him well. One story, of many - He rode to the football game in Tuscaloosa in 2006 with me and brought along a hand-written poster with about a paragraph's worth of hand-written remarks disparaging Alabama and their fans. At one point about mid-way...

What’s the fattest thing you’ve ever done? Women don't count...

Shout out to lunch and bowl. It was offered every day in the mid to late 2000's, and there were certain days of the week when it was $5. I tracked all of my bowling scores for basically all of college and specifically recall that I went exactly 91 times in 2008. Good times, man.

    MSU rocket team wins again.

Wish Elon would get word of this and throw a little coin our way in support of funding rockets and possibly some SEC-ready linemen, in whichever sequence he pleases of course.

Let's all donate $17 to Murray State

First, a little back story. In 2018, when Tennessee Tech was in the Oxford regional, i told a buddy who played for TTU that I would donate $25 to TN Tech athletics if they sent the rebels packing. TTU won, and I made good on my word. TTU has since probably spent 10x that amount in postage...

    OT: Kroger gas

I'm big on the Kroger fuel points, too. Big purchase coming at Home Depot, target, Amazon, etc? Buy Gift cards at Kroger and use like cash. Works best when Kroger is running 4x points promo. I also like when the retailer / restaurant has a point system. Chick-fil-A for example, I only use...

    SixPack Golfers

Shiloh Falls had the par 3 across a cove of the lake. Tee to green was about a 90-100' drop. Going off memory here, but legend had it that the trolley snapped and killed someone back in the early-mid 2000's. They put a cart path down to the green after that, but that path was treacherous if...

    SixPack Golfers

I'm a big fan of the course at Pickwick Landing State Park. Greens Fees are good all day, just pay for your cart as you go and you can play all day for pretty cheap. Also there's a quirky little 9 hole course near there in Counce, TN called Fox Chase. RIP to two other nice tracks in Pickwick...
