    I have been a Gamecock fan since 1971 (my freshman year at USC) and this was the most gut-wrenching loss I have ever sat through.

    I just read part of a story by a guy named Ravi Sankar (he was a musician 50 years ago) who questioned the reasoning behind why we turned down the NIT. This idiot said we had barely missed out on a chance at the NCAA tournament and had a respectful run through the SEC this year. WTF!!

    What I saw in the game (Sorry, late to the party)

    You begin to understand where this season is headed when one of us talks about catching part of our game while on vacation and several of us talk about travel and not the game. That is just sad. So as not to be left out, "Safe journeys everyone"

    The best thing this Saturday was hearing Rocky Top come over the PA system at Arkansas as the students ran on the field. Not to mention what Vandy did to Bama.

    Coach Tanner probably does not want to deal with an NCAA investigation, if one comes. This has had to be in the works for some time with the departure of several head coaches recently. It looked like he was trying to get the Athletic Department house in order before leaving the AD position.

    When you barely beat a team like Old Dominion (it felt like a loss) you might come away with some of the comments I have been reading. The defense, except for a few plays in both games has played solidly in those first two games. Both offense and defense got better between games one and two...
