    Yeah, Northampton had no school the whole previous week, and then had a varsity game Tues., jv Wed., and then a game Friday. So not much practice time this week. Looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.

    Games moving due to weather

    Northampton and Windsor will play on Wed., too. NHS hasn't been in school all week because of flooding from the frog choker on Sunday. Some places got 17 inches! We have areas that are under evacuation orders, too. Wow, this season is getting messy. Everybody stay safe.

    Agree we need some common sense rules. A lot of us old timers were talking about "back in the day" it was thunder AND lightning. Thunder means imminent lightning. We were at Norfolk Academy for a track meet and they had a doo-dad on their roof that sounds an alarm when lightning is legit close...

    Game was delayed right at the start of the 2nd half. Lotta heat lightning from a storm way up off Chincoteague, no thunder, but rules are rules. I think it was around 10:15 when they finally suspended he game until further notice. No idea when they'll reschedule.
