OT: Antibody Testing - Now appears widely availble

Yes I ran a fever for 3 days as high as 101.9, tired, my hair hurt if I ran my fingers through it and a cough. I didn't have any respiratory distress so I just hunkered down. FYI I'm 69 years old. This was on March 24 to 26.

OT: Antibody Testing - Now appears widely availble

Yes the 10 minute test I took tests for two types of antibodies. One of the types is only present if you have an active infection. I you have any symptoms they would give you aseparate test only for active infection which might not have produced any antibodies at all yet.

OT: teen kids just learning to ski

Killington (5 to 6 hours from central New Jersey) is the most complete resort in the East (I owned a home there for ten years). It has a great beginners program and the best nightlife in the East. Having said that, it huge and still gets very crowded on the weekends. Camelback is perfect...

OT: Very hot weather forcast for Hawaii

Very real scare for my daughter who is running a medical meeting in Maui. I was speaking with her for the 30 minutes that we all thought it was real. They were evacuated to the hotel's ballroom. Many people flipping out not knowing where family members were. It brought back horrible memories...

    OT: British Open

I'm watching. I think that Phil's experience will be the difference. I have a question for those on the Board that have been to Scotland. I'm going in August for a two week golf and Scotch vacation. I'm going to play a lot of the Open courses but I am undecided about the last course to play...

Ash Five Year Mininum Win/Loss Expectations?

I think that minimum wins is the wrong focus for evaluating Coach Ash. The criteria for me are the following: 1 Does the team pass the eye test (plays hard, aggressive well coached defense, exciting well coached offense)? 2 Do the players develop in strength and speed through the...

    OT: Golf Thread

Yoga worked for me.g. It added 10 to 20 yards to my drives. I'm still not fully back to my full distance of 240 to 260 off the tee but it is coming. Yoga = Flexibility

    OT: Popeyes Fried Chicken

I agree that Popeye's Fried Chicken is some of the tastiest of the fast food fried chickens. While you are checking it out, try their Red Beans and Rice side. This is very authentic New Orleans Red Beans and Rice which is a weekly meal like spaghetti elsewhere in New Orleans. It is very...

OT - New AD, FB and MBB Coaches; What's The New Subway?

Being a little over dramatic, I nearly had a heart attack when this thread said that Tumulty's was closing. I have been going there since the original Tudor building on the J&J site. I was afraid that they lost their lease like SOHO did. Apparently, one family owns most of the commercial...

    OT: Identity theft

I suffered identity theft several years ago. Really scary but unless they wipe out your bank account, it can be contained fairly easily. First notify any one of the 3 credit reporting companies (Trans union, etc.). They will immediately put a 90 day lock on your credit information and they...

    OT: New Orleans

I go to NOLA frequently. Acme Oyster House, Frenchman Street for Jazz (The Spotted Cat), the World War I I Museum (best anywhere) and for something really different if you like naughty history about the birth of Jazz and Rock 'n Roll take the Treme walking tour.
