    If true, this changes the dynamics a bit. I doubt he is worth $3mil a year though and I would be curious how good of a recruiter he is outside of his current institution which definitely can recruit via paycheck.

    It would not be a lateral move. It would be to a lesser school at least in the here and now. Also, who knows if BV wouldn't tie his hands. I cannot imagine he comes here unless there are family ties\retirement in mind.

    I think this is highly probable. In essence, I read Zac's leaving as a vote of no confidence in the future of the staff so he left for job security reasons and I doubt anyone external to current staff or outside of BV's sphere is jumping at the chance to join a lame duck coaching staff.

    I guess it is time to state the obvious, we hired within instead of Dan Lanning. BV was a safe hire. The former players petitioned for him. I know hindsight is 20/20 but the program needs a complete reboot and I suspect Lanning would have been the better option. Granted, he has unlimited pockets...

    For coordinators, yes. Until TBOW I would have said no at the HC position. Zac though is taking a lateral move but with more job security. I expect BV is gone after next season.
