    After Zack Martin got hurt, the cowboys went very conservative. So At that point, both Cowboys starting guards were out of the game. One of the backups is an UDFA. Cowboys were already up big and there was no need to risk getting Dak murdered by Q Williams in game that was already settled.

    James and Rodgers already play in the USA - Americans already know them. Messi needs to gain popularity in the USA in order to become the most popular athlete in history. He's on record saying he wants to be a bigger name than Michael Jordan worldwide. He needs to make a splash here.

    Because he wants to be transcendent like Michael Jordan. The only way to do that is to become a household name in the United States. Edited to add - ...and it's working. There are thousands of Americans talking about Messi right now that have no interest in soccer.

    Yeah he's definitely NOT "washed up". Just like Lebron James and Aaron Rodgers aren't washed up. They're all on the backside of their careers, but they're still among the best players in their sports.

    To be a quality soccer player requires a ton of skill and thousands of hours of practice. 99% of the population can’t just decide to start playing soccer in their teens. If you haven’t been practicing your foundational skills at a young age, you can forget about playing organized soccer.

    Leach refused to cancel games in 2020 when we had dozens of players out due to covid. We played at Georgia with what, 50 players? There's no way he'd be ok with cancelling a game.
