Mullins was 5-24 on 3s in the games leading up to the final four. 0-4 before hitting the big shot. UCONN made it to the final four because of their juniors and seniors.
I don’t think they would have been a four. Without the Evansville debacle, I think they are for sure a 2. With a good showing in the sec tournament, they probably would have been anyway.

Lost its top 6 scorers? He inherited quite a bit including 2 all sec caliber players and Patrick Patterson. BG did end up signing him but Tubby is the guy that got him to UK. Most certainly didn’t lose its top 6 scorers.
Back in those days not having a portal was advantageous to incoming coaches.
He didn’t go 9-16 from the line. If he had they likely would have won. You’ve given him credit for 9 more free throws than he made and 10 more than he actually shot.
Google Kam Williams NBA draft. He definitely didn’t look “great” playing on this last year’s dysfunctional team but prior to last year he had a lot of eyes on him. I hope he stays and he reaches his potential.
