You are completely right. I’ve done my share of Cal bashing but man Wallace was beyond bad after looking like a lottery pick in some games. With Wheeler and Frederick out there was no other options but Thiero who played good until those 2 killer turnovers.
We’ve been singing his praises but man it’s not on Cal this loss is on Wallace. He was simply awful-didn’t even seem to try to score. Just unbelievable really.
A good shot should always be taken even if it’s the first few secs of the shot clock. I hate waisting the shot clock only to have it become a 6th defender as we have to go in desperation mode. Why people think this way is beyond me.
I agree. Short term overreaction-often posts during the game that posters have to eat crow on-are the norm on here. Talk about the ultimate bunch of trend followers.
Of course in a one and done tournament Duke could be beat on a bad night. Doesn’t change the fact they’re the best team in the country just because they by far have the best players. To say this team needs some senior leadership to win it all is beyond foolish.
Just the opposite actually. If they don't call fouls teams like SC and UL that foul on almost every foul are allowed to neutralize teams with superior talent.
