You know who would crush it here...

Conveniently not mentioning that Duke had just won a title 2 years before Lehigh, made the Elite 8 in 2013, and won a title year after that Mercer loss. Not the same at all. Also, it's not a fluke when you blow tourney games 3 years in a row (people forget Kentucky was up late against Kansas...

What happened between Pope and Golden?

I think you do that plenty with all the trash you post. Golden can be criticized for being a creep and sore winner. It's possible to find a coach who wins and isn't a total ***. Golden should remember what comes around goes around.

Pope ties Tubby's highest UK loss total at 13; one away from tying BCG's at 14.

This year's Missouri team was still better than any team Cal had beaten in the SEC tourney since 2018. Calipari did a pitiful job in SEC tourney starting in 2019: 2018-19 Alabama (18-16, 8-10 SEC), Kentucky won, but lost in semifinals to Tennessee 2021-22 Vanderbilt (19-17, 7-11 SEC), Kentucky...

    Kansas - Arizona

Arizona is so tough on the boards and 2nd chances. KU had cut it to 4, but now Arizona is on a run to make it up 13.

BB: NOAH WASHINGTON 2028 3*PG UPCOMING VISIT

Yes pretty disappointed how many horrible takes there are about Washington. Just the usual idiotic, knee-jerk reactions. If they actually took the time to actually read about him, they'll see that he already has an offer from Purdue, and is likely to get a lot of other high major offers in the...

Kam Williams is 'out of his boot and 'eager, eager to get back' for Kentucky

I'd argue he'd make a huge difference. If nothing else, he'd lessen the need for playing Johnson, Noah, and even Garrison as many minutes (can play the 4 in some lineups). Saw a stat where he was part of like 5 of 6 of the most productive lineups. He was starting to come on before his injury...

BB: Nasir Anderson 2027 5* PG

Thanks for the update, is there a running recruiting thread here? Hoping staff learns lessons from 2026 and lands some studs for 2027. Would be nice to get an elite PG again.

Ok I waited til the game is over…

I realize it's not apples to oranges since this guys are a lot more experienced. I do think that players on that team were made to look worse than they were because PG play with Askew was so bad. Boston as a 6th man would look a lot better than having to carry as much load as he was asked to...

Ok I waited til the game is over…

I loved Crawford and Bradley on those 2006-08 teams, but guess people have amnesia about starting guys like Sheray Thomas, Mark Coury, Perry Stevenson in the frontcourt on those teams.

Ok I waited til the game is over…

This is a ridiculous statement. Aberdeen, Oweh, Chandler are all way better. I would take Boston over Johnson though.

Ok I waited til the game is over…

Wish this were true, but sadly it isn't. Tubby's last 2 teams and Billy G's last team, along with Calipari's 2020-21 team say otherwise.

UL @ UNC and Houston @ Kansas

I don't think as strong as last year, but does look like a pretty strong top 3. Ultimately think Florida's shaky guard play will do them in.

UL @ UNC and Houston @ Kansas

Houston looked like worst top 5 team ever. Don't care if you played 3 elite teams, shouldn't be top 10 after 3 losses in a row.

De’Aaron Fox named to the All Star Game

Good news is I don't think Barnhart will be around much longer. Regardless of Pope's success, that'll be a breath of fresh air for the athletics programs.

    Coach Hall getting slapped?

Another interesting connection: Lynn Nance who approached Bobby Knight after the slap later coached Mark Pope at Washington.
