    Fair enough; forgot how negative he was on Karasinski’s defense. It’s all relative, in a sense (when comparing to prior NU teams), but removing Reid will help us a lot, and Martinelli struggled a lot defensively. Hopefully, we will also benefit without all of Singleton’s hand check fouls.

    Agreed, though I think the defense was the real problem last year and we would appear to be in a better place there this year.

    I certainly don’t know, but removing AP is one good reason to think it will happen. And then removing a lame duck KJ. And then even Reid - he was a bit of a poor decision maker on offense and a huge liability on defense - I’m betting that wore mentally on the other guys.

    I think that, last year, we over-valued technical talent/skills and undervalued team chemistry. We are going to see lots better chemistry this year, so I am more hopeful that the year will be better than “rough”

    Can’t shoot with a defender right on you - that’s dangerous and deserved to be called even if limited contact. It’s another example of why they call shooting space and card you if you hit a player with a shot.

    Can’t shoot on a defender that is right on you, even if there is not a lot of contact. That was a reasonable overturn of the goal.

    Never mind calling a yellow on NU for dangerous shot and then taking away UNC’s goal, which was admittedly a horrible makeup call.
