    It was a thing of beauty watching Shaw lead sustained drives and taking time off the clock. He always found a way to get a first down-with his feet or passing it off. No need for quick scores either-we had solid defense.

    Beamer hasn't given the pundits any reason to predict us having anything except a mediocre season. Those are facts. That's what happens when you return a bunch of starters the previous season and win 4 games. This is the hype time of year where the season is close, last year is most forgotten...

    I've been reading about supposed negative recruiting occurring against us. Doesn't surprise me in the least. It's always going to happen during the process. That's also what happens when you retain a 4 win season head coach.

    Wasn't aware of that. I don't see Bianco ever leaving Ole Miss (though he's a former LSU player) until retirement so probably another 5-10 years considering he's in his late 50s. Maybe longer though depending on how long he wants to coach. Like Van Horn at Arkansas.

    When they're launched into the stratosphere it's another thing. Miss St right fielder hit two 450 ft bombs today. Maybe part of it was the help of equipment but that takes power too.
