Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers versus Indiana

Cignetti is going to give his backups free reign to compete and keep pouring things on. I'm sure he wants to see hunger and effort from those guys that want more playing time.

Dante Moore leaves on a stretcher - Was the USC player that hit him smirking on the sidelines?

In the Giants/Titans game today, a Giants player grabbed the facemask of Cam Ward, was penalized, and admitted his mistake/apologized, things moved forward. That player took responsibility. That celebration yesterday over taking Moore was disgusting, and I would feel the same way if it was an RU...

Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers Football versus UMass

An early TD and then nothing in this game? Yeah, the defense had a tough night, but um, the offense starts with the QB. And the late interceptions didn't help. I think it's time for AJ. And hopefully some other starting roles are reevaluated after today.

BB Recruiting Kansas State transfer center Dorin Buca commits to Rutgers

He's a tall guy that is actually a center and not some much shorter forward or wing pretending to be a center. He's clearly coming in to be a backup to play maybe 10 to 15 minutes a game. Seems like a decent fit for that role.

Football Athan Kaliakmanis NFL Thread 2026

AK has the size, skills, and also the character/work ethic/personality/intelligence to potentially thrive in a backup role in the NFL for a number of years. He's all about the team and working hard, without making it about himself. He'll also be ready for any sudden opportunity to play if that...

    OT: Girls HS flag football

Girls soccer was a spring sport in the Shore Conference until about 30 years ago when it moved to the fall, taking away some athletes from field hockey initially. Eventually things settled and some girls go the soccer route and others go the field hockey route. Same thing would happen with girls...

So, who’s on our roster for next season (running list):

Agree. He had the opportunity to be the star this year in what was always likely to be a tough season and for whatever reason this just wasn't his year. Even without the NIL/portal stuff it may be best for him and for RU to move in separate directions. A fresh start could be exactly what he...

Basketball Bryce Dortch plans to enter the Transfer Portal

Best of luck to him. He's the one that gave up his redshirt year in 24-25 when the team needed his help. Hopefully he lands in a good situation for him.

Basketball Rutgers Basketball ends season with loss to Creighton in College Basketball Crown

Dortch does his best. Not saying he's a starter nor that he's playing in the right position, but he's useful in the right role.

Basketball Rutgers Basketball ends season with loss to Creighton in College Basketball Crown

I know it doesn't seem likely Lino will return. But that kid's got some potential and plays hard.

    Miami of Ohio

Very true. He also looks fit like he got proper guidance to develop his body for basketball.

Woolfolk is on the team. He actually got to the tourney.

Raiders hold formal draft meeting with Rutgers QB Athan Kaliakmanis

He seems like he's the type of guy, in the right situation, who could make a living for a number of years as a backup QB. There's certainly far worse QBs that have had pretty long careers as backups. He also seems like the type of guy who mentally could accept a role as a backup QB, ready to...

    New HC candidates ?

Would they actually hire a male coach? I think not.
