Yea the "donate or shut up" crowd can definitely go 17 themselves.
That said, I feel the same way about the crowd that gets on here and thumps their chest about how they will never donate and pretty much discourages everyone else from donating.

I would typically interpret "money into the city" as money pumped into the local economy....not as the literal dollar amount that winds up in the city's bank account.
It's really that unbelievable of a number. That's like $1250 a person over the course of their highest demand weekend ever. I am sure they rounded up, but it's definitely not 'grossly' overestimated.
