I'm going to argue with myself. When I really thought about it, Nebraska struggled a bit early and Rutgers might have been able.to steal one there. They weren't a great dual team during the season but finished strong individually. I guess anything can happen. Have to get in though.
The rules are far from perfect and admittedly aren't logical but they apply equally to all teams which is fair. Does anyone think Rutgers is stepping up and beating Minnesota or Illinois in this format with a national spotlight?
The teams that excel in dual format also excel at individual...
Teams with worse classes annually can get inside top 20. Rutgers does ok receuiting. Could it be better? Sure. I think Coach Goodale has done decently with rhis though.
Yeah I looked up the rankkngs last season after the recruiting excuses flew around after the National tournament. Recruiting is not the reason Rutgers can't get inside the top 20.
Not that desperate I would hope. I could see Davis. He is young. Hot headed. Nothing really clearly points at character issues though. Immature amd toxic arent the same.
Ferari is a different animal. I admit he is entertaining in a performance art/stunt/surreal comedy act kinda way but...
how long till Oklahoma st seriously challenges PSU? 2 years?
Bottom kinda.fell out of Ohio st. They looked fierce earlier in the season.
Even bigger bottom fell out of Cornell.
Iowa gets a trophy and keeps streak of finalists. Seems odd to see 4th as a success for them but things...
Im not calling for any job but disagree strongly with ideas we must avoid speaking about systemic weaknesses in program because it might affect job security, or even worse, that the fan base is responsible for poor performances.
Rutgers community doesn't owe any coach a job but any Coach employed is accountable to the community for certain standards of performance.
Its not about funding. Teams with less finished ahead of Rutgers this weekend
