Yes, Mississippi State named buildings after the two biggest losers in university history; Shira & Simpleton. Ironically, they are right next to each other. I hope there is enough real estate left to build a shrine to Sly Croom as he will likely surpass Charlie Shira as the biggest loser...

The Clarion Ledger was owned by the Hederman Family at that time (1977). Today, I believe it is owned by Gannett.

Yes it should be! Furthermore I do not understand why the Mississippi State Athletic Department or our supporters even acknowledge the term "Egg Bowl" because that was nothing more than a Hederman Brothers-Clarion Ledger (U of M loyalist) name that was created and subsequently adopted in 1977...
