    Michael Dabney Jr. (Huguenot)

Impressive what they have been able to accomplish offensively so far without their best player. Perfect timing for his return in order to get him going before the playoffs arrive.

    Caroline v KG

Yes I do recall that as well. Was wondering where he went. Glad to hear it!

    Caroline v KG

Is that the kid that was at St. Michael’s last year?

Game of the week: Huguenot vs. LC Bird

I don’t think match up is the correct term. Bird came out with energy and got a stop early but after that it seemed like Huguenot would always make the plays that they needed. I think the shorter TDs by the falcons were a product of LCB going down and having to go for it on 4th downs

    Huguenot v Manchester

I think the winner of the this region will be battle tested and will have a real shot at winning a title.

    Huguenot v Manchester

I agree 100%, I was at the game last year and this year was a night and day difference in the physicality. The offseason weight room was good to a lot of those younger guys from Huguenot that were apart of both year games. Seemed like Manchester came out early with the same gameplan as the year...

    Huguenot v Manchester

Absolutely! Would love to see this game on a Saturday afternoon in November for the regional championship. In order to make tv at happen I figure one team would have to knock off Dinwiddie. Who do you think has the best chance at that?

    Huguenot v Manchester

Huguenot rolls again. The 2 times this year I’ve seen Manchester they just don’t look inspired to play football. I can’t remember the last time we could say that about a Manchester squad. I think this team and staff are in need of a big win. They will get their chance when LC Bird comes to town...

    I was wrong… AGAIN

I think GA is still a really good football team. I was surprised at the final score but I knew it wouldn’t be easy to walk into Varina, on homecoming and beat a team that you never beat. Varina heard all week how they were the underdog. Shoutout to their coaches who had them locked in and prepared.

What caught my eye, Week 6!

I agree the way KF beat IR did catch my eye! Armstrong fought all night long and took the lead vs Henrico with 30 seconds remaining for their first win in that series in a while. 3 Richmond City Schools are now 5-0. Don’t have the history books but my guess is that this is the first time in a...

    Bird v Powhatan

Has Powhatan been one of the most disappointing teams this year? Or are Manchester, Huguenot and Bird just a lot better than them? I thought these 3 games would define their season one way or another. Also had them at worst 1-2 or 2-1 vs those 3 teams this year. They played Manchester tough down...

    Hayfield back in the news..

I agree 100%, the right guy for each program always isn’t the guy who decided as a 19-20 year old to go to school to become a teacher or consoler

    Hayfield back in the news..

I agree that Public School sports would crumble if only licensed educators were allowed to coach. Most of the teachers I know are working second jobs after school for extra income. Coaching stipends wouldn’t cover what they would lose. Hard enough finding quality coaches now, imagine what the on...

    75 boyz are back

Curious to see why it’s the same schools ALWAYS being referenced such as Phoebus, Maury, Highland Springs, Huguenot and Hayfield. I enjoy watching what all these programs are doing as like someone said you still have to coach kids. I also have seen other schools such as LC Bird, Manchester, etc...

    Glen Allen Football

I agree 100 percent! That program is making some serious strides! Admin hit this hire out of the park! I wouldn’t have been too surprised if you told me they beat Thomas Dale but the way they dominated them was definitely a surprise. Other Class 6 schools should be on notice of this team.
