OT: So were the US swimmers robbed or not?

Anyone that works in a firm that has South American offices knows how dangerous it is down there. My last firm had specific protocols for traveling there that included security as well as procedures for hostage negotiation. Also, it's well known that the "authorities" are corrupt and it's best...

    OT: Midsize Luxury Cars

You hit the nail on the head. Without MT, a car is a car. Just get a reliable one. Also, great call with the Golf R. I envy you.

    OT: Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have an MDX and 2 other Acuras before it. Great car. No problems at all. I think the rule of thumb is buy Japanese, lease anything else. Koreans are making some good cars these days too. Best Acura dealership is in Montclair. Price shop and see for yourself.

OT Aroldis Chapman 105 MPH last night

Sanchez isn't known for his defense and I'm not sure how he is calling a game. What he has going for him is that he's hitting well in AAA (.311/.354/.473) and is young (23). Probably going to be called up soon, so we will see what the Yanks have. Exciting times. Baseball America editor has...

OT Aroldis Chapman 105 MPH last night

Wow, great haul by Cashman for Chapman/Miller. Beltran/Nova/Everyone else not named Betances, Didi, Tanaka should be on the block. I really hope that they trade McCann so we can see what Sanchez can do.

OT Aroldis Chapman 105 MPH last night

Good questions. I think that this is a year where there are several teams that are close to the WS and need relief pitching and the Yankees have the best relief corp available. I could see the Cubs making a big offer for Miller and they have a bunch of good young players to offer ( I don't...

OT Aroldis Chapman 105 MPH last night

This is the year you can get a king's ransom for RP like the Yankees have. Chicago and Washington are two teams that will pay up for one at the deadline. Time to unload and bring up the kids.

    OT: Schiano Knew Too

Schiano deserves a chance to defend himself. If it turns out that he did know and did nothing, I doubt anyone here would defend him. Football is not that big a deal here, as it should be.

    OT: Schiano Knew Too

If true, Greg is a true scumbag and I'm glad he's gone. Also, may Paterno f*cking burn in hell for all eternity.

OT Serena #22 Grand slam victory

I think that it's amazing that anyone thinks that anyone who wins in any sport is "clean". People need to f*cking come to terms with the fact that every winner takes something. Also, who cares. They made a choice anyone else would have made. It's time to accept it and move on. The faux...

    OT Brexit Vote

EXACTLY. Over 50% of their revenue comes from the top 1% of their tax base. Their idiot government is talking about "saving" the current surplus. Fat chance of that happening. It'll be wasted and they'll be staring in to the abyss when the sh*t hits the fan.

    OT Brexit Vote

He is the man. This speech is stellar. 6-7 years? Looking too far out. Next year is the year. Perhaps even earlier. 6-7 years from now we might be reminiscing about the end of the EU.

    OT Brexit Vote

Exactly. You bully Greece. You don't bully the #2 economy in the EU. I'm not sure if the EU is past the point of reform, but it very well may be. Without drastic change, it is dead.

    OT Brexit Vote

Agree, uncertaintly will cause some economic problems. I say, who cares. The EU has been limping along for years now with low growth and high unemployment because of the f*cked policies from Brussels. It's as if Germany won WW2 with the way they dictate how the bloc works. It's time for a...
