For the love of all that’s holy please put Synder in after halftime. What’s the worst he could do throw two ints? Only have one yard passing? It’s mind numbing.
NJ coaches like their ego stroked by RU visits before sending their kids elsewhere. They are pissed that didn’t happen with Ash.
I’d just as soon get Florida and Texas leftovers. Kids with a chip on their shoulders because they were overlooked by the local P5 teams.
So if Hobbs didn’t fire Ash would he have stayed? No.
This season is a waste anyway. He was gone regardless. The only way he stays is if we hire a slam dunk coach.
Firing Ash allows us to get a head start before the rest of the teams start looking.
The problem wasn’t Hobbs firing Ash...
A new coach needs to be thoroughly evaluated. Some who are saying we should hire Schiano immediately so we can minimize damage sound a lot like those who said we should bring in Flood to save that recruiting class. That worked out so wonderfully for us. We need to look beyond this year and even...
I’ve changed my mind on this. Given him bailing on the team during warmups. If he had talked to the coach ahead of time like AS so there was more time to prepare it would be different. Doing it hours before the game is leaving his team mates in the cold.
They are talking a good game about...
I guess Greg doesn’t want to be a head coach again. He’s not getting another HC job anywhere but here. For the most part nearly everyone at the national level think it reeks of desperation except for Rutgers fans.
No offense the prospect is ludicrous. If you are a punter is there any better team to be on than Rutgers?
No offense to speak of - check
National exposure - check
Great long snapper - check
My comment is more a prediction of where we will be in 5 years based on other trends not necessarily about this law in California. Although arguably the law lets the camel’s nose under the tent.
This is always the thing that killed me with Ash. If your team is not very good why would you not try to emphasize special teams. He consistently did not use starters as frequently as when we had good STs.
For football there is no real option to the NCAA. If kids think they have it bad in NCAA they should try playing football in a minor league arrangement. No real pay for a dangerous sport.
Baseball is a different animal. You can play for years for a little pay and not worry about your health...
