Finally, a sensible post.
Would you rather make $2 million per year (or 1.2 as it were, seems that Dan will be close to two pretty soon) at Mississippi State, where you can win 7-8 games per year and be a herov for 10 years, or make $4 million per year at Florida where you go 5-7 in years 2-4...
I promise you one thing: KV had a choice in this matter (OK, TWO THINGS), and the CL didn't decide if he was moving. Gannett did. Once the opening came open, Gannett takes applications--KV had to apply for this position. I for one cant say that I blame him, who wouldn't want to move back to...
I should have been a little more specific in my original post. I meant it to kind've be like a-- "the best player who did the least due to Croom's terrible coaching but could have been a lot better under Mullen."--type thread.
So yeah, Dixon and Norwood are clearly both better than Conner, I...
I realize this is kinda choosing the smartest kid in special ed, but another thread got me thinking. I personally like Omar Conner for this dubious honor.
Omar Conner, the forgotten great player in the last decade in my opinion. He was tremendously skilled, and horrendously used/coached. It would be nice to be able to grab a few guys from the Croom era and see what +*# could do with them.
I don't think we can go to Tiger Stadium and win yet, but that's just my opinion. I think we will win the UGA game because they are always overrated, so if they are in the 25-30 rankings pre-season, that says to me that maybe they aren't that good...not to mention a QB that has never played. I...
One of my personal favorites was the '99 Thursday night game vs Kentucky, after which we were 8-0. It was a great atmosphere and a game I'll never forget.
I was at the game, I heard the comments with my own two ears. They called the guy a "wife beater" among several other very nasty things that should never be said to a player or coach.
KV could very well be an hourly-wage employee. I know for a fact that Patrick Magee is. (usm beat)(yeah i know its just the usm beat but he does work for 2 newspapers). Here's what else I know, they aren't going to start moving around beat reporters this close to the season if they aren't forced...
At least he's a running back, like somebody said earlier, it's easier to replace a RB any day of the week than just about any other position. Sometimes these kids just don't have the mental toughness to play D-1 football, no matter where their talent level is.
