    Notre Dame has no practice facility and has to recruit and play against the best conference in basketball. They've been out of the round of 64 for 3 consecutive years and have been to the ACC title game 2 of the last 3 years.

    Manhattan has called themselves the 6th borough for years under Masiello. Bad move if they never got the trademark to it.

    Yes they should. The throwback jerseys are miles ahead of the brutal modern jerseys they wear. Just look at Seton Hall's throwbacks from this year that were in script. Gorgeous.

    No I never said that Masiello will get all blue chip players. There are also plenty of transfers and Juco's without off-court issues, so your argument is way off base. Masiello will certainly improve recruiting and get some impressive players, but I won't sit here and say he'll have top 20...

    I've posted endlessly about what a bad option Cluess would be. At least others are finally realizing why I say he could never build his teams in a power conference the way he does in the MAAC. Criminals, bad personalities, and guys who couldn't cut it in big conferences (for off court reasons)...

    Steve Masiello - Manhattan

    6 scholarship players, lots of injuries and two guys that left the program for personal reasons. Still beat Monmouth in February and finished middle of the pack. Masiello is a great coach, team would have been bottom of the barrel this year if not for him.

    Dan Hurley

    Manhattan won about 5 games the season before Masiello got there. They were abysmal. He took them to back to back ncaa tournaments.

    How many years ago was that? And it hasn't been an issue since. He's a great guy and runs a clean program, but that's fine. Pick another old coach and let another school benefit from Masiello.
