    Terry Shea was a better coach than Chris Ash. Had far less to work with in terms of resources, facilities, etc.

    Correct, and one of the biggest reasons why it's 2024 and Rutgers still hasn't played in a major bowl game. The biggest was probably the 2012 Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando and even that's a mid-tier bowl at best.
