I’m done with Mag; Simpson is exceeding expectations

    1. I generally agree with the sentiment of the original poster. Mag hasn't shown much so far against lesser competition. 2. I would say that if he does as well as Pike says he does in practice, I'd have a little bit of a longer leash with him. 3. Finally, I do think he goes to the bench with...

Why Simpson is not a Geo clone

Let me qualify what I'm saying - just because IS different than Geo does (a) not minimize what Geo has done here and (b) that Simpson will end up being a better player after all is set and done. I'm only talking about skillset. The biggest thing Simpson HASN"T shown is the ability to be "Mr...

    King Cam

What Cam is: the type of player who typically kills us on the other team. Now he's on ours. :)

    Offensive Line Disappointment

Frankly, a complete turnover on the whole offensive staff would be welcome. Even Nunzio, even though I like him personally and appreciate his commitment to the program.

Football Samuel Brown OUT for year with injury

    Antwone Woolfolk APP/USA Today

Seems he can score and defend. Interesting to see if he can step - even part of the way - into Cliff's shoes next year. With Chol as a stretch four?

Reiber pegged to start at 4?

Mulcahy loves to spot up for the three in the corner when he's playing off the ball. McConnell has show the ability to hit the three in the past - I'd take 30 percent from downtown. I think Spencer won't dissapoint. Predict high 30's to around 40. We will see about Reiber, but will be curious...

I'm not sure we will ever be successful in Big Ten football

Right. And I'm not sure it has.

I'm not sure we will ever be successful in Big Ten football

If we can't be a part of the CONVERSATION every six to seven years, then there is something seriously wrong. Remember the playoffs are being expanded as well, so this is not an unrealistic expectation.

I'm not sure we will ever be successful in Big Ten football

Unfortunately, Iowa was THE opportunity to really change the narrative. We are what we are. We lost a commit and the timing not coincidentally conforms with the loss. We did beat BC, yes. But I think that game was like our Temple game, except they lost.
