Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers Football vs. Penn State

Also... we really need to see what Wimsett has... good or bad.. the year is lost already. We need to know is he anything to build on, or do you recruit to replace. Either way, the only advantage Wimsett will have is his experience, but he will need to win the job next year. He hasn't shown...

Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers Football vs. Penn State

Can we all please stop the fire Schiano talk.. he's not going anywhere, anytime soon. There really hasn't been poor coaching today.. it's execution.. A fumble here (Langdon), a pocket fumble (Wimsett), etc. It's almost like what can go wrong will go wrong and at the wrong time to boot!. The...

Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers Football vs. Penn State

I have watched probably 3 or 4 Quarterback/halfback option dives off tackle and Wimsett has to pull the ball out instead and take the QB option on the roll out.. he has been WIDE OPEN, and yet they continue to do the dive, and if the QB pulls it out and rolls he will get 10 yards EASY...

Football GAMEDAY THREAD: RFootball vs. No. 3 Ohio State

We are picking up chunks of yards with off tackle runs with a bruising, tall powerful back.. On third down and fourth down both short yards.. and we pull the player that is ACTUALLY productive and do two dives for minus yards..... amazingly STUPID play calling!!! Plain and simple

Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers Football vs. Boston College

I couldn't agree more. We are forever playing with our back to the quarterback. It is so fundamentally wrong.

Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers Football vs. Boston College

Can someone explain why our opponents LOOK DOWN THE FIELD to throw... and we continue to check down, or wide receiver screens? You certainly aren't upsetting the defense. They will give you this all day.. and then set you up for a pick 6 if you weak arm it... Just so tired of the same ole...

When did the BTN come to this area?

Well you asked for it, and later it was shown in this link. My memory was pretty good, as I said it was about .90 per household back then and it actually was $1.00 per Household and now it's up to $1.50 per household as told in the USC/UCLA expansion "Let’s do a little quick “back of the...

When did the BTN come to this area?

It appears that B10 understands they control the TV markets of LA(2), Chicago(3), New York(1) and Washington DC(9), Philadelphia(4), Minneapolis(14), Detroit(15), Cleveland(19)Indianapolis(25), Baltimore(28), and so on... But it isn't as simple as see market - take market... just on size...

When did the BTN come to this area?

This article gets into it. https://awfulannouncing.com/ncaa/adding-usc-and-ucla-could-be-huge-for-big-ten-network.html

When did the BTN come to this area?

From what I understand that's pretty much standard as they used the figure of .10 now in your market "IF" the B10 is available,(and now they should be everywhere). So when they contract with Comcast in San Fran for example, if Comcast has 1,000,000 subscribers, they get .10 per subscriber...

When did the BTN come to this area?

It's the "boost" in carriage fees you get from appointing a "new" school in a DMA without a current B10 School. That's why you see such hesitation to add 2 Schools in the same state. The GOR still needs to be broken, and I wonder if ESPN, will sit down with Fox, as the 2 big guys, and figure...

When did the BTN come to this area?

Expansion of the B10 will happen. Just can't say when. Right now they know, but not saying. I can remember the story of Tim Pernetti, (the AD that was our savior for B10)and how he was tapped on the shoulder (by Delaney the B10 Commissioner who was born in NJ and went to school and knew HOW...

When did the BTN come to this area?

Awful Announcing is a really good TV Sports and Marketing newsletter, and they always get into contract negotiations etc https://awfulannouncing.com/ncaa/adding-usc-and-ucla-could-be-huge-for-big-ten-network.html Adding USC and UCLA could give B10 Network a huge revenue boost article

When did the BTN come to this area?

Funny I was smiling just remembering when I hear someone talk about Rutgers not being in the NYC market. My answer.. when I was growing up in Central Jersey, ABC NBC and CBS were our network stations, and to this day that hasn't changed. That will usually measure your market. Where are your...

When did the BTN come to this area?

Thanks. The $1.50 figure is what they are talking about today with the LA market and USC and UCLA, back when Rutgers got in my memory seems to think it was .90 per household with BTN on any of the tiers vs being pushed to some other tier. But the carriage fee numbers have been talked about for...
