    Hey Al…..

Of course - they are probably the most successful team per capita in mlb history truly elite franchise in that regard

OT: NY Yankees 2026 Season Thread

Another reason why winning 95+ games over 162 doesn’t make you a good playoff team. Baseball is the most unfair sport in that regard. i would prefer reducing season to 130 games but greatly expanding playoffs. Everyone gets in but all series are at least 5 games and it’s double elimination...

Fried didn’t pitch to his talent level. Cole is past his prime Rays have better pitching and that is 80% of success, at least.

Rutgers Goes Revenue First- What that Means for Athletics?

Agree with your post with one but. I lived in Westfield for 3 yrs. The reason so many kids go to elite schools is a very high % of the students have 2college grad parents where Education is a priority. no matter how much money Newark throws at the schools they don’t have a high % of students...

    Hey Al…..

Amazing over 162 games that teams like Cle, Mil, Chi are in the final 8. Who is the 4th, SD?

OT: NY Yankees 2026 Season Thread

Playoffs such a small sample size that often less heralded guys step up as they won’t consistently do it over the season but can in one series difference between a .250 and .300 hitter is like 30 hits a year or 1 every 5 games. That’s it. Playoffs are all about good pitching and defense...

    **2026 Rutgers Football fan survey**

I already sent her 2 polls I did after Umassacre showing 80% of some of the most devoted fans want a new head coach. But coming from TKR would certainly be better.

And the university itself needs to get rid of its own admin overhead. There is a lot of staff supporting all types of things not directly tied to education/teaching/research that need to go. Schools need to trim fat just like companies do.

Agree. And Jedi is aging so that speed may Not even be there at Copa. Poch must develop other FB options. I don’t want Dest to start. Maybe off bench. If we put the wonderkids on the Olympic team to go for gold then these guys are a must to start IMO assuming they are in form and heslthy...

OT: All things US Soccer / Int’l Soccer Thread

Trusty is def not a FB unless we play a 3 man back line vs. 4. I think Poch is desperate to figure out the defense other than Richards and Freeman who to me are 100% locked as starters Jedi has to fend off younger guys as I think he’ll be well into his 30’s at next WC I’m not sold on Dest...

One BOLD prediction for Rutgers basketball in 2026-27:

I tend to agree but also wonder if as many guys get an NFL look if we were 6-5. Meaning that when we started 8-0 it attracted a lot of eyeballs and maybe some guys got noticed So you aren’t wrong that we had a lot of NFL talent (note a bunch of the guys sniffed the NFL but didn’t really play or...

    Anderson Named to Ray's 8

Thank god for Duff and Raymond or we’d be at risk our punter is our best performer. This is not a good thing for a football team!
