Basketball Ron & Dylan Harper / Ace Bailey - NBA Thread

Incredible how good of a defender Dylan already is in his rookie year. We knew what the offense looked like, but he’s legit clamping Ant / McDaniels in the possessions he’s matched up with them

    Playing GM

Would be willing to bet Buchanan is already getting >300k. High major starters or high-level role guys go for 500k min

    SGA on Rutgers???

It’s crazy to me that anyone thinks one player would make a non-top 100 team the national champion. Flagg and Knueppel are arguably both top 50 players in the NBA and even they, alongside a handful of other future NBA guys, couldn’t win the title last year. There’s not a single future...

Who would you spend NIL $ on for next year (current roster)

J Mike is a perfectly fine backup point at this level. Knows the system, has grown as a shooter and brings good energy. The issue is we’re playing him close to 30 mins a night, when he should really be in the 8-12 min range for a high-major team On Ogbole, I’m not at all opposed to replacing...

Who would you spend NIL $ on for next year (current roster)

I’d be more than content with a point forward, just think that’s a slightly rarer build at the college level. On Davis, agree it’s tough to recruit over your captain PG, but I think Pike knows it has to be done if he wishes to cool the hot seat. J Mike seems like a team first guy so just have to...

Who would you spend NIL $ on for next year (current roster)

PG: Portal / Davis / HS or empty SG: Powers / Francis / Jones SF: Buchanan / Zrno / Wooten PF: Portal / Nwuli / HS or empty C: Portal / Ogbole / Dortch This would be my ideal roster for next season, keeping in mind our budget (rumored ~$10m?) Retention / HS: ~$5m $1.2m - Francis $800k -...

Basketball Rutgers Basketball falls to No. 7 Michigan State in OT heartbreaker

Grant is a pretty bad defender for a guy with his length

Want Tariq to attack the cup. They’re overplaying him on the perimeter but he looks gassed. We need rim pressure now

No idea why we didn’t inbound to Francis there

Gonna need a Francis tough make down the stretch here

Dortch offers nothing offensively but he’s more agile and recovers better. More active hands too. Would prefer to close the game with him

Ogbole getting absolutely toasted in the screen and roll

Basketball Rutgers Basketball's surge not enough, comeback falls short

    Man Nwuli is horrible offensively

    Watching Wisconsin and Michigan

Even in a loss — the sets Michigan runs, their ATOs, the crispness of their ball movement — jumps out. How on earth are we supposed to compete with that with a coach who doesn’t believe in structured offense
