The kenpom rating actually wouldn’t change much at all. It’s purely statistical and tracks based on 4 quarters per game. 3 points in a different direction wouldn’t affect our Off and Def efficiency much at all.
OP is right. Matt Painter has been doing this all year. A smart coach takes advantage of EVERY loophole they can. It kills a 2 for 1.
