Being a linden grad and knowing Jones since he was a kid. I would love to have him at RU but he’s more of a 2 than a 1. The biggest question mark on him is can he transition to a point at the next level at say a P5 school or does he go A10 level or smaller where being that scoring guard bodes...
Haven’t seen him play in a few summers since he was in 8th grade and hadn’t transitioned to a wing yet but this is a brandin knight recruit. Plays for AOT which is coached by Omar Cooper who is one of Knights friends and is the father Te’a Cooper who plays at South Carolina
Trey will have his pick of schools near and far. I coached him in 6th and 7th grade with SportsU. Great family. Mom is a shu grad and dad is a Bonnies grad. Kid is coachable and talent level is tremendous for a freshman
Makes a lot of sense we were in so early. Attends the same school as Okoro and Cooper who we have offered also who play for the AOT eybl program which is ran by Omar Cooper who is one of Brandin Knight’s best friends.
He probably was but with no scholarship available. These kids can’t hinge their future on the possibility of a scholarship opening up and if it doesn’t and he spurned other suitors committing here it could have pushed other schools away. That scenario could leave Washington and his family...
