According to various articles, in 2014 only 24 division 1 schools athletic departments made a profit. It's simple to look up. Not feasible to pay all athletes. Several years ago UK had around 300 scholarship players. IIRC.

Unless the rules have changed, an incoming coach cannot recruit, until he has been hired. He can contact a recruit, and say he is going to a certain school, but can't actually offer the kid. I know...it's a fine line, and I'm sure if Mac crosses it, ul fans will be happy.

Just thinking out loud. The NCAA could pull the refs from games. Penalize any team that comes in to play them, by declaring the game non-sanctioned. IMO if ul, left the banner up, they would just be digging a deeper hole
