    Portal update

I thought someone posted it earlier. But for frame of reference on timing, here is when last year's group committed: - Preston: April 16 - Mullins: April 17 - Langborg: April 23

Brooklyn, we did it! ROLL CALL: who else is going?

I think NU is Section 25, but I'm not 100% certain.

    Tavaras Hardy out at Loyola(Maryland)

I went back and looked at Carmody's assistant coaches. I had forgotten some of those names.

It’s time to move on from Collins

As silly as some of these posts look in hindsight, Styre's post is quite fair. How many high major programs would have stuck with a coach that went 15-17, 13-19, and 8-23 in three consecutive seasons? Also, I get bringing back threads at times. But I can't blame people for the emotions after...

    Bubble watch

All of our numbers are somewhat converging as our Strength of Record has dropped a bit with the two losses. NET - 53 KenPom - 45 KPI - 38 Strength of Record - 34 BPI - 39 Those are solid numbers, but a win vs. Minnesota would be nice to keep them right there.

    Bubble watch

Numbers are still holding steady: NET - 53; KenPom - 46; KPI - 34; BPI - 39; SOR - 29. Strength of Record suffered the biggest drop to #29 (still very good, but it was #19 after beating Maryland). I really don't think our numbers would look pretty at all if we lost four straight. I think the...

    MN status

I'm pretty sure foot was mentioned in the press conference.

    Ciaravino

Not coaching this year, but will be back next year. Ben Davis is playing in the sectional final as we speak.

    2023-24 NET ratings thread

Keep winning is what is most important. But in the weeds of our NET numbers heading into today's games: Minnesota is still floating at that #75 number (currently #77). Maryland also has fallen to close to #75 (currently #71). On paper, it's nicer to have Quad 1 and 2 wins vs. Quad 2 and 3 wins...

See: #18 ranking in SOR and #42 in KenPom.

Monday opponents update after the weekend of games: Our win over Rhode Island (#201) moved from Quad 3 to 4 due to URI's ugly loss to LaSalle. Minnesota's loss to Nebraska pushed them down to #78, moving the road loss from Quad 1 to 2 and making the upcoming game a Quad 3 home game...for now...

    BIG getting crazier

Exactly. They also take a look at things like BPI, KenPom, and KPI (and we have better rankings in all of those than we do in NET).

    BIG getting crazier

It wasn't a huge drop in reality. I think we went from the lowest 9 seed to the highest 10 seed. In his Bracket Math, he does have us with an 85% or better chance at being in the field.

    2023-24 NET ratings thread

Minor note, but Minnesota did jump into the top 75 (#73). For now, that pushes our loss to them as a Quad 1 loss, and it makes the upcoming home game a Quad 2 game.

    2023-24 NET ratings thread

After last night's games: Maryland moved up (#70) despite the loss, keeping our home win as a Quad 2 W and our road game next week as a Quad 1 game. Minnesota is at #76, moving them closer to the top 75. That would put the Minnesota games in the same Quads as Maryland if they make the move...
