The Cardinals print money and can easily afford Hamels. His contract is reasonable if you look at what the projections will be for the FA pitchers this coming winter. Cards will need an ace for the postseason, especially with the young pitchers on an innings count.
It would take a pretty big collapse. If we went 1-5 vs Iowa & Illinois and 3-3 vs Purdue & NW, then went 0-2 in the conference tournament, that would put us on the bubble on Selection Monday.
Agree with this, but we made up for that by beating LMU 2-1. 7-6 or 8-5 is where I figured we would be at, now with the next 17 at home (1 in omaha), we need to go 13-4.
