    RIP Chuck Norris

I’m surprised he wasn’t 100. Seems like the type that would’ve kicked nazi tail before embarking on that epic career. RIP to one of the actual great ones.

Get in the Pit and try to love someone

I love RFKs views on nutrition. His takes on vaccines are altogether a different matter. The garbage the US allows in to the food system is shocking.

    Ask the ZZL: Puppy Training

Potty training is mostly patience and getting the pup outside frequently. They won’t have a chance of holding it overnight. At 10 weeks I take pups out about every 2 hours, even overnight and losing tons of sleep. They’ll build up to 4 hours by 16 weeks and play it by ear from there...

Your favorite pizza from a franchise or local pizza house

I assumed it was because the new place was cleaner and thus the product was less flavorful. It's more likely they had to cut back on ingredient quality to make up for increased rent. It really was a shocking difference to me, at least that's how I remember it.

Anyone know how good UNC retiree health benefits are?

Sadly the complexity of insurance has little to do with the up front premium prices. You'd need to look at out of pocket maximums + the premiums to get a total out of pocket cost. You'd also need to understand the provider networks if that is an issue for you. For folks with less common...

Idea is to preheat the steel to get it scorching hot. It’ll transfer the heat to the bottom of the pizza better than heated air. With the oil in the pan it fry’s the crust.

Your favorite pizza from a franchise or local pizza house

I think the Detroit style is a bit easier with the pan, a lot easier to get it into the oven. I also like the crispy edges where the cheese melts down the sides of the crust. Great call getting your kids involved early with the cooking! I wish I'd done more of it when I was younger. I'm...

    Kids college visits non unc

Curious about your negative thoughts on Northwestern? It's been a long time, but I used to have a friend who lived in Evanston and liked the area and walked through campus. I didn't tour or talk to anyone. It just seemed nice being on the lake. Of course I never went in the winter either.

These are my go to recipes: Detroit Style: https://www.brianlagerstrom.com/recipes/detroit-pizza - This guy (Brian) has instructions for lots of different styles. I find him recipes are normally doable without needing too much work. "New York" Style (Seems like just regular style to me)...

I’ll check that guy out and post some of my favorites here. I bet yours are outstanding from the Egg. My dad had an Egg, seems like using it is a chore, especially so for a quick cook like this. My oven gets to 550 and it works great. I avoid the Neopolitans that want 800 degrees. I’ll...

I like to see the other guys coming back. I hope they don’t get litigious trying to get immediate reinstatement. Sounds like Reed is going to play the year on the world tour. That’s a decent way to spend time in exile.

Tough to find a really good pizza these days. It’s not tough to find an expensive pizza that is better than Domino’s, Pizza Hut etc, but not worth the price. I’ll be the snooty one that says making a pizza is the way to go. But you need to invest in a good pizza steel and if you want Detroit...

A knight of the seven kingdoms

I watched episode 1. I’m going to wait for a few more weeks of reviews before committing. All I could think is that this is going to be a very long “A Knights Tale”. Except that movie only needed 100 min to tell the story.
