    Something similar is what I remember as well. Definitely didn't start school until after Labor Day. Would it matter if the high school season extended beyond Christmas break? All the same kids will be in school the second semester anyway.

    We start at 8:30 and it's almost always pleasant at that hour, and by the time we finish at noon it's typically not terribly hot - maybe 90 by that time.

    She's dropped back to a 3-way tie for second, one shot off the lead. Maybe today is just her nerve today and she'll come roaring back tomorrow. A lot of the issue is that others are catching up. She's only lost 2 strokes today.

    Totally agree about Alabama. Before State, we went to Vanderbilt (great tour), Florida and Florida State (nice tours), Birmingham Southern (sort of strange - their academics seem to be OK but nothing technical), North Carolina (OK) but he chose State, thankfully. It was free.

    I'm watching it delayed, and am at the point where Ally just bogeyed 17. No problem - she played it smart pitching out from the deep weeds. Still has a 5 stroke lead going into 18. I really hope she can win this thing.
