I agree with you. Unfortunately, Stan is a big wind energy guy. Get ready for more wind turbines in NM.

Kroenke. Owner of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, among other teams. Multi billionaires live by a different set of rules. He owns more land than anyone else in the country, if I remember correctly. Big renewable energy investor, with a history in the cattle industry. Hopefully he...

All of these are great questions, and would certainly be part of any discussion about this stuff. Most likely scenario includes incentives for farmers/ranchers to move to areas with more water. Not forcing people out of their homes. Halting/slowing development in some areas likely makes sense too.

You have no idea what you are talking about with India. Rich people pay a lot of $ for “black water”. India is absolutely seeing a reduction in usable water. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/millions-without-clean-water-black-113000099.html

Utilization and storage is not possible when the availability of water is decreasing. Availability is pretty important. More people, same limited water sources. This isn’t rocket science. I don’t blame you for not knowing what you are talking about. People in the NE don’t need to worry about...

This supports my position. Some areas find better balance with fewer people. Arizona would be one of those places. Thanks.

The Hohokam population maxed out around 80k, and then dispersed due to environmental factors. Most of their canals became inoperable. They abandoned their settlements by 1450. Worked really well, until it didn’t.

Desalinization? Only necessary because we are destroying all the natural clean fresh water. Gobi? Ya they are f’d. Groundwater continues to decrease. Battles over water increasing. Not enough water for animals and people. California is a disaster. Have we already forgotten about the fire? Poor...

I have a degree in Natural Resource Management, lol. Actually did a lot of research on water in my college years. A lot of the things I studied have come to fruition. Guess I’m the expert here. Maybe you guys are the ones that need an education. Just maybe. I don’t try to tell you I know more...

Just to be clear, you don’t think the USA cattle herd is shrinking?

Fair. That’s what I’m thinking though. Not moving people by force. Encourage people to move and give them reason to do so. Maybe the farmers and ranchers are the ones that you give incentives to move. But something should be done, the water levels aren’t coming back in that part of the country...

I’m pro incentives. Thats why I recommended incentives a couple days ago. I was told that is communism.

Trump is giving out incentives? I was told that is communism. Distributing billions of $ is not allowing the free market to do its thing. Chandler used to be a farming community. Now it’s a great place for Asian companies.
