    Casey Simmons

Yeah I didn’t realize he was there until this game. I wonder if he still yells at the refs and players as much at Penn, hopefully he’s a bit calmer. He seemed fine in this game. Impressive coaching job. And yeah TJ Power was awesome, great finish to regulation and great game overall.

Is on Yale now, apparently was DPoY in the Ivy League this year. Averaged 10.1 ppg and 4.0 rebs. Playing vs Penn in the conf champ on ESPN2 right now. Has 11 on 5-6 FG thus far. Good luck Casey!

LAWYER POLL: Could Martinelli sue for a 5th year? He played less than 15% of potential minutes as a freshman

I've seen some mock drafts that have him going in the 2nd round. Hopefully he can get drafted and make it in the NBA. His defense and 3pt shot have improved this year, which were two of the challenges. He's still a potential liability in on-ball defense in the NBA I think but maybe someone will...

    Nick Martinelli

So even the advanced stats agree, it's preposterous! Especially as he was leading scorer last year so it's not like they have the excuse of not being familiar with him. And those other teams had much more talent around them, they weren't dealing with double teams almost every possession all...

What has changed in the last several games

I don't disagree with you on the improvement, but I just checked the stats and IU is 34.7% from 3 on the year and 34.5% in conference play. That is 11th and 10th out of 18 teams in the conference. They may shoot a lot of them, but I don't think we can call them a good 3 point shooting team. I...

What has changed in the last several games

Yeah I agree mostly. I still though get frustrated at our rotations being sloppy too often I feel. And early in the game last night we had some lazy / not committed or obviously telegraphed double teams. Kropp was guilty a couple times - when you double you have to go at it with intensity and...

Yes - I think you know but that line was 100% sarcasm.

In 2 games BTT: 26.0 ppg 6.5 rpg 3 apg 2.5 steals 20-35 FG (57%), 3-7 3pt (43%), 9-11 FT (82%) 1.5 turnovers per game 2-0 wins, while getting double teamed every possession. That’s a very solid 2nd team all conference player, right? Great work Nick and the team these two days very fun to...

This has to be a first in NCAA history

Would be funny if that game wasn’t so painful to watch. I think the 11-1 TO differential was basically offset by the rebounding differential 50-23 in their favor. Part of that is we had 46 missed shots and them only 30, but still they crushed us on the boards (as they have been doing to teams...

    Alabama football

In our defense, that was after we’d had 3 (I think? Maybe more?) DL go down. We were down to the practice squad on the front line. That was the day that Ryan Day finally learned that sometimes you can win by running the football.

    Shoutout to Coach Braun

In terms of bad weather games, it was only second to the Northwestern Michigan game later that year. Where it was a mix of rain snow sleet and everything else. And by the end of the game all the NU fans were still there and 95% of the soft Wolverine fans had left so we basically had the majority...

    Shoutout to Coach Braun

That SIU game in 2008 was “football weather” at its finest. Anyone who was in NUMB with me that day remembers that well haha. All the fans retreated beneath the overhang. We were there to enjoy the (all too close) W.

    Jerry Neuheisel as QB Coach

This is also a pretty clear indication that our assistant coaching budget has increased significantly. I mean I know the Raiders are paying Chip 6M minus our salary, but I don’t think he’d sign with us for <1M. And I’m sure Jerry Neuheisel is excited to work with Chip but he wouldn’t come here...

    Great defensive performance

Stone threw some nice tosses to 17, but let’s be honest the defense is what won that game. Hubbard was fantastic, dominated their OL all day. Bastone a really good game too. Good job by McGairgle for having everyone well prepared and ready to execute the game plan. Their only score came against...

    Anyone going to Detroit?

Anyone know what section (or side) the NU group is in yet? We are debating whether to get through school or secondary market.
