THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-PENN STATE PREDICTION THREAD

Good Luck to the Knights! PSU is not a good 3 point shooting team, so Rutgers needs to use inside physicality to control the paint. This is a winnable game and ESPN gives the Knights a 52.5% chance of winning. Knights need to control pace and keep the game in the 60s or low 70s. RU 67 PSU...

    SF Austin Beats Duke!!

The Knights forced SFA into a very bad shooting night last Wednesday. SFA was able to attack the rim against Duke and they dominated points in the paint. The Knights do have good defense, no doubt. But excuse me for being happy tonight as a Jacks fan. They played their asses off and I'm so...

The Bonnie loss sucked, but SFA is a good win

Great win by Rutgers tonight. Forced SFA into Rutgers pace. RU played great defense and contributed to SFAs poor shooting night. Congrats, RU!

Stephen F. Austin, 5 points of emphasis based on what the number say

As an SFA fan who has watched all their games, this analysis is pretty good. SFA turns the ball over a ton, but most of their turnovers are through pushing pace. Make no mistake, Rutgers will get some easy baskets tonight. It is a byproduct of SFA's defensive style. The Jacks will trade...

    Tidbits - Stephen F Austin

Niagara, as a team, shot 55.6% from the floor and still lost. They were down 21 at the four minute break and cut the deficit in garbage time. Drexel was down 23 with 1:30 left, hit a bucket and 2 threes to make it a 15 point game. They shot 50% for the game.

Stephen F. Austin defeated Drexel easily in Texas

TJ Holyfield was hurt last year, which is why he had one year of grad eligibility. He's doing a great job with Tech this season. Kevon Harris is our best returning player. He's over 43% shooting threes and can attack the rim.

Basketball -14 point favorites to SFA

Great interview with Isaac of the Sawmill. He does a great job covering the Jacks. I may be the only one at the RAC tonight wearing purple, hope to see you there!

We are a trap game for the Lumberjacks

Rutgers was 21.5 favorites against Bryant, 14.5 against Drexel and 8.5 point favorites against St. Bonaventure. FYI

THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-STEPHEN F AUSTIN PREDICTION THREAD

As I said in another thread, I am Jersey born and raised, but attended SFA for my masters. Since this is the first meeting of SFA and Rutgers, this will be the first time I'll be rooting against the Knights. SFA 83 Rutgers 75 Axe 'em Jacks! After Tomorrow night, go RU!

    Tidbits - Stephen F Austin

As a matter of fact, they play very little full court press. What they do is play a man to man overplay defense with zone concepts. Which means if a ball goes to an area beyond the defender, help defense comes and the original defender switches. They will invite the ball into corners and trap...

Stephen F. Austin defeated Drexel easily in Texas

I think the Jacks win, 83-75. Knights do not want a fast pace, but the Jacks will force tempo. If the Knights control tempo and shoot fairly well and secure the ball, they'll be in good shape. Remember, Niagara shot 55.6% against SFA and lost by 9 after being down 21 with four minutes left...

Stephen F. Austin defeated Drexel easily in Texas

I'm Jersey born and bred and live here now, but received my Masters from SFA a long time ago (1993). What has impressed me most in the early season is that the new talent for SFA has started to come together quickly. The team is long and athletic. SFA started getting attention under now Texas...

Stephen F. Austin defeated Drexel easily in Texas

SFA has two centers, Kensmil is 6'7", 255 LBS. His backup is Daniels, 6'9", 230 LBS. SFA will run high pressure, overplay defense and are very good at help defense. SFA leads the nation in creating turnovers, 27.5 per game. Rutgers forced Drexel into 12 turnovers, SFA turned over Drexel 31...
