    Great, more for the referees to call. More judgement calls that can affect wins and losses. We may as well be basketball. And I am not blaming officials either, but you are taking more things away from players and coaches and putting in the hands of officials.

    Not to be disrespectful, but tidewater district is not very good with exception of Charles city(they whipped Franklin at the armory). So the paper is not worth that much anyway, West Point is not very good. I'm sure you will have 100 excuses that they were all eighth graders or something like...

    Agree 100 % on linemen comments. Even colleges find it hard to recruit both offensive and defensive linemen. Colleges will take chances on kids with the right frame even if they are not dominating on the high school field. Those 6'5 kids with long arms and great feet just don't come around often.

    Good points but I disagree with your #1 reason. I think it's shear numbers to pick from. If a 1 a school has 350 kids then you figure it's 175 boys..a team would have to draw from 175. The odds of you getting 15 solid ball players are OK. But a 6a school has 2000 give or take and 1000 boys...

    The coach with no clue going to Chatham coached a jv team that was undefeated...just saying. He might have a small clue or a tiny clue or maybe even a morsel of a clue. He also is very intelligent, and is working hard at Chatham to get things rolling. I wish this guy well, he is going to do fine.
