Nebraska lands 2026 QB from Las Vegas..

There was a lot of hype for Smothers too

    Not much hope

We extended a guy for $70M that hasn't improved the program. Yes we got to a bowl game but thats more about schedule than improvement. We're locked in for 4 more years of mediocrity before we can afford to fire him. Whoever panicked and extended him due to PSU rumors needs to be held accountable.

Scott Frost conference offense year 3 vs Rhule

Face the truth, why did we pay out Tennessee?

Scott Frost conference offense year 3 vs Rhule

2020 (year 3, covid) Frost: 369.1 yards/game, 23.1 points/game 2021 Frost: ~426.4 yards/game, 26.6 points/game 2025 Rhule (so far): 312.0 yards/game, 22.5 points/game This despite Rhule getting the golden egg of Raiola, has blundered the opportunity by failing to prioritize and protect his...

Did they move the end zone to the 50 yard line?

Never seen a final drive with less urgency or unwillingness to attack
  6. R

Well the good newz is PSU will now have zero interest in Rhule...

    Michigan was killing them too

    Fleck to PSU?

I think he probably felt disrespected, watching all the hype a mediocre coach with a 2-22 record vs top 25 was getting. It was a simple game plan. Run the ball, find who #37 was covering and throw it to them. Let your dline whip their oline. Simple was all it took to beat Matt Rhule.

Updated predictions for rest of season

Here are mine: MSU - toss up. May change mind after seeing USC but I'll take Huskers for now at home At Maryland - Loss At Minnesota - toss up, Huskers Northwestern- win USC - Loss at UCLA - win At PSU - Loss Iowa - Loss 7- 5

Michigan v Nebraska 2nd half thread

Ugly. Rhule made a terrible decision on 1st drive of game to not make points and its come back to haunt us. Granted, we're fortunate to be within 10.

    Mike Riley is soft.

He should have been in our Kicker's face after that first miss
  11. R

Man, some of you have entirely unrealistic expectations

Pelini came back from 17 to beat Iowa, 12 in 4th quarter against NW, almost came back and beat MSU last season, etc., etc....there are lots of examples of where Pelini teams didn't roll over and die just like there are where they did.

    Hang your heads low Huskers...

New system is no excuse for failing on basic football fundamentals you learn as a kid. Bo actually had lots of comebacks if you want to be honest; and I'm not a Bo fan.

Not that it matters now, but Taysom Hill done for season

That's too bad for him. Did he actually break his foot or what?
  14. R

We fired Bo because he couldn't win the games that mattered

I remember your kind after Callahan's first loss; saying the same things

    Tommy Armstrong looks DAMN GOOD!

Good first drive but after that same old Tommy
