    WE win 4 of those 6 games. LSU is obviously not what they usually are and they have no QB. We will beat UT, Presbyterian, and the other win comes against either Bama, Auburn, or A&M.

    That still doesn't account for the fact that 7-1 has gotten 7 teams to Atlanta since 2000. The point is luck definitely had something to do with it and unless your Alabama and have the luxury of steamrolling everyone you play you need a little luck.

    The fact of the matter is MSU was very, very lucky to make it to Atlanta that year with a 6-2 record in the SEC. MSU finished that year with the same record we finished with last year at 8-5.     ULL and Boise are both better than any team MSU has played so far. Boise is 2-1 with wins over Colorado and a decent UCONN team while USM is the worst team in the country and UAB is not far behind coming off of a 2-10 season. The stats back this up as well.
